Janeta316
Hello, I have lots of products, each have several variations that influence the price and the customer needs to be able to select which one he wants. These variations are unique to each product so it's seems a bit crazy to create manually each of these variations as attributes and then assign them to each product... there is going to be a HUGE amount of these and it's going to take AGES!Would anybody please have any suggestion please how to do this in a sensible way? Is there any way of being able to just type these attributes in when adding product? Do they really have to be predefined? Can't they be just text boxes where I type it in instead of dropdown or select... ? Edited May 9, 2016 by Janeta316 (see edit history)
Hrist0
Hello, How many attributes you have per product? Is it something like this: http://www.ic-intracom.bg/en/6656/fiber-optic-patch-cords-scupc-scupc-single-mode-simplex-and-duplex-different-lenghts or http://www.ic-intracom.bg/en/6608/patch-cords-category-5e-uutp-different-lenghts-and-colors If your products are similar as structure - can tell you how to optimize input. If you have more attributes - then probably should search for other solution
Janeta316
Well, it's different for each product, some have couple, some more. The thing is that the attributes are completely unique for each product.

I don't understand this. If they are completely unique - why you use attributes? I guess that in this case you should use Features.
Janeta316
Because they are variations of the product that the customer needs to be able to select and they influence price. Features is just information.
