Cannot change currency in front-end (shop website marstronix.com

Hi, I tried everything and for the life of me I'm unable to change currencies on my website. I turned off the "Select country based on the browser language", I cleared cookies, tried various browser, various computers/smartphones, I reset/reinstalled the shop and id didn't work even once.

I'm unable to change the currency even if I set up a brand new shop with default theme on another domain.

there is a chance that you enabled one option under localization > localization:

if it will be enabled you will not be able to switch to currency that is not associated with your country.

Hi Miłosz, thank you but it's not that. It only works when i install prestashop manually (placing files on the server, installing etc), rather than as an app through my vps provider (1&1). So now all my work is for naught because I need to install the shop from scratch...

 

Is there a (bug free) way to export stuff from my current shop and use it with a new installation, please? Thanks anyway!

I am a newby and have got the same problem. I select a drop down currency either USD or Euro but it waits a few seconds and then goes to GBP, the defauly currency.

 

It is Version 1.6.1.5.

No amount of changing the Localisations corrects the problem

Hi, I had a message a few days ago that Prestashop had been updated.

 

Since this the currencies have behaved as expected. IE. select GB Pounds and the price format chages to GB Pounds, change to Euros and it now changes to Euros.

find these lines

 

if (defined('APS')) {

    $cookie->id_currency = Configuration::get('PS_CURRENCY_DEFAULT');

}

 

add // as below

 

 

//if (defined('APS')) {

    //$cookie->id_currency = Configuration::get('PS_CURRENCY_DEFAULT');

//}

 

 

adding the // in the lines above solved my issue
