Addon Price Increase over night

Hi all,

I expressed an interest in an Addon. Overnight the Addon's price went up by 60 Euro !

All because I expressed an interest.

I hate this well suppliers do this - it just shows they are not professional or long term.

I actually suspect this is coincidence.  The marketing team has to approve any change to the product, including price changes.  And they are usually never that quick. 

 

So I doubt that the change in price could have occurred overnight.  I can be wrong, but changes I request to my product sheet are NEVER completed in 1 day

Changing the price doesn't require Addons team validation.

Yes, you are correct.  They must have enhanced this since I used it last.

I'm not sure it is the developer that raised the price. For example the price I see here http://addons.prestashop.com/en/search?id_category=0&search_query=forms for Powerful Form Generator Module is $59, but http://addons.prestashop.com/en/16685-powerful-form-generator.html it jumps to $69. This happens to me for every module.

Am I the only one this happens to?

Vekia, I thought that was the case, but it is definitely a dollar sign at both locations. It has been this way for a while. In the past I just paid the extra amount, but now I have stopped buying modules hoping they will stop raising prices.

I have sent this issue to a contact at the ps addons team for feedback.  There is a currency drop down and for me it is USD.  So I would expect the price to show as the same on both pages in USD.
