New installtion gives Server Error 500

I am trying to upload the prestashop installation files through CPanel.

I compressed all the files and uplaoded them.

On Extracting them, the file permission to all the folders was 777 and to the file it was 655.

 

If I uplaod through FTP , then the permissions are correct. But it takes too much time.

 

WHat should be the correct method of uploading the installer files.

Upload the PrestaShop installation files through CPanel. In the file manager upload the compressed file and if the permission is not correct then change it directly in the file manager.

 

once uploaded then connect with the ftp.

if you does not using any shared server then there is an application installer using that installer (like softaculous) you can install the prestashop. if you feel comfortable then mail me your cpanel id and pass I try to install the PrestaShop correct.
