associating combination image with category color

Hi all,

 

I have made a few categories that split the color of the products like so:

category:

                 color:

                          -white

                          -black

                          -gray

I wrote a sql script to add them to the category page. Now i am left wondering if it is possible to display the proper product image with the proper color per category of course. Is there a module for it or a piece of code that can help me with that?
