Prestashop Hangs On Page Loading

HAIRWEBSHOP

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We're almost finished building our Prestashop, now random pages in the front and back end of our Prestashop hangs.
By hanging I mean that the page is loading infinitely and eventually become unresponsive.

If I refresh the page it immediately loads the page, as well as the pages that are following.
I did not install new thrid party plugins and there are no debug errors.

We're using the latest available Prestashop version and PHP 7.
I've made sure that it's not a problem on the server side of things.

Is this a familliar problem with Prestashop, and is there a solution available?
Thank you in advance!

Hello Teapot Creative, and thank you kindly for your reply.

We do use the default facebook like and sharing buttons modules.

They've been active since the beginning but I will keep an eye on these modules nonetheless.

However, the social sharing modules does not affect the back office, right?

Thank you.

Hi

Are you on a shared hosting, is this and issue with another site (hosted on same shared server) slowing your site down?

May not be your site that has the issue, seems odd to be OK one day and not the next..

EDIT: Might be worth doing a site speed crawl using both these tools:

GTMETRIX - https://gtmetrix.com/

PINGDOM TOOLS - http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/

They may highlight the issue and show if its a server timeout issue.

Hello Teapot Creative,

We're running our Prestashop on a fast and stable shared hosting environment.
Our other websites are running fine.

This is odd, as this is the first time, but there seems to be a pattern.
Most of the time it happens on the module page in the back office and some random pages in the front office.

Hi

Might be worth actually deleting any non native Prestashop modules that are actually just disabled.

Have you tried testing with the "Disable all Non Native Modules" and "Disable all Override" button switch to yes in Advanced Perimeters / Performance -  Tab

This sometimes will indicate if its a possible module issue.

I remember adding the following flag to .htaccess as a possible solution to a cart error, but we discovered that the error was caused by our cart rules and is now solved. I will remove the following line and see if this solve our problem.
