How to turn off the Left Column on the Products-Comparison page?

The left column on the comparison page wastes precious space. So, I'd like to disable the left column.

But in the Preferences>Themes>Advanced Settings – there is no such page to turn the column off.

And when I open products-comparison.tpl – I cannot see anything related to columns.

Please help to disable it.

you can also disable / enable column in theme editor that is available by default under preferences > themes section

in preference > theme are present more page layout (category, cms, product, ....) but 

but it is not present in the entry relative to products-comparison

override CompareController and set public variable $display_column_left and $display_column_right to false
