cash discount and carriers payment options

hello everyone.

im trying to figure out a way of giving a cash discount on cart total.

since credit card companies (and paypal) charge you a fee there is no reason not to pass these savings to the costumer if he pays in cash.

 

i have cash on delivery module with fee but i also want to give disscount for cash on store pickup!

any ideas?

 

one idea i have is to have a button on cart that says: "I pay in cash" and when the costumer hit it he will get a voucher code for a discount. only problem is that this voucher should be limited for cash payments only and as far as i know normal pricing rules don't allow this option.

 

also i want the selection of carrier to hide or show some payment options.

for example:

if the costumer choose store pickup he can complete the order with cash on store but if he choose any other carrier this payment option should be hidden.

 

another example: some carriers do not offer cash on delivery service, so if he choose that carrier i want the COD module to be hidden.
