morepork
I was updating some product descriptions in the Back Office, copying and pasting descriptions from a previous product and changing a couple of words.I had another browser window open to display the Front Office, so I could see my changes. After a while I noticed that all the descriptions (except the two products at the top of the category page) are now appearing in bold. Even weirder though, the footer links are also now displaying in bold and all my text in the bestsellers panel and in the account panel is in bold. I was editing only in the product administration/product records and now this weird formatting is affecting everything on the page.If I navigate to a different product category, the text reverts to how it should be, the bold goes away and the formatting is normal. It's just this one category that seems to somehow be corrupting the entire compiled page, category.php.Any ideas? Anyone seen this before?
Burhan BVK
You must have an unclosed "b" or "strong" tag. If it is only in one category check the category description. Broken html will cause weird formatting.
morepork
That's what I thought it might be - so I deleted all the product descriptions, including in the html source code view as well and the problem remained. No formatting tags whatsoever, the problem still existed. I'm not using any category descriptions, so that's not it.In the end, I created a new category and then one by one, reassigned each product in my corrupted category to the new one, making sure after each one, it was still displaying correctly. Fortunately, this category only has 12 products, so not too bad doing this. Then deleted the original corrupted category. Very very weird.
