Hello all.

 

I apologise in advance If my question is posted in the wrong forum section.

 

I plan on launching an eCommerce site that will feature a handful of item 12-24 (for now)

 

I won't be needing many things that I have seen featured in Wordpress for eg. blog, comment section, etc I need a straightforward online store where customers can view and purchase items that will be ultimately shipped to their doors.

 

Is Prestashop what I should be considering? And, is it something that is well suited for merchats like me that are located in Quebec, Canada where we have two taxes on every item sold. Both taxes must appear seperately on the generated invoices.

I think PresrtaShop is a good candidate for your online store, it is easier to install.

PrestaShop is in modular architecture, you can easily disable or uninstall those components or features that you do not want to use.

By the way, I hope that Prestashop can split both Federal and Provincial tax on our invoices. Both have to appear. Federal 5% - Provincial 9.975%

 

So 10.00 =

 

Selling Price: 10.00 +

Federal: 0.50 +

Provincial: 1.00 

Total: 11.50

I think the site is using paid commercial theme,  you can also try to find a commercial theme at PrestaShop addons store,

 

for tax, I guess you will have to set at provincial level, but include both taxes (provincial and federal) at 15%,
