Search not displaying all results in 1.3.0.5 - pictures included

This is an add-on so I can post pictures for this bug report:

Four pictures attached to illustrate two different searches. Each search was done with the same products in the database. Both searches have the "index length" set to 3. And both indexes have been "re-indexed" so all products appear.

You can see from pictures that front office search of 1.2.4 displays products correctly.

1.3.0.5 Shows some results (in the case of "batt" search) or no results (in "note" search). - this affects both the ajax and regular search display in the front office (I have tried with ajax off as well).


I have also attached a picture showing that the items do appear in the Back Office search of 1.3.0.5, so they are correctly entered in the database,etc.
