How get & display main category name (& not default category) in product.tpl ?

Hello everybody,

 

I have difficulties to understand how prestashop works, even i read developer section.

 

I just want to display some variables like customer informations in header or product category in product.tpl and i don't know the best way to do ?

 

How to get the parent category (name) and display it in product.tpl. Should I override the ProductController to assign main category in smarty variable for the product.tpl ? What's the function ?

Ok i overrided product.php class and add a custom function that i assign in a smarty variable in product.tpl !
