sethstacey
Hello everyone,First of all, I am very impressed with the demo of Prestashop. I am putting together a site soon that this may be perfect for, but I have some questions:1) Is there any kind of content management in this system, or is that a later feature? Even simply being able to change text and maybe pictures around would be nice.2) Is there a way to have certain user accounts get special pricing on the site? This site will have many people who are resellers, and it would be nice to have them see a special price that is lower than the normal customer price. I would see this working like this: they sign up under a reseller account, and then see special pricing.3) Shipping stuff. In several carts I've used before, I could do a complicated shipping concept where it would calculate what shipping needed to be based on my rates, what the package would weigh, and where it would be shipped to (and, of course, what shipping method they wanted). I could not tell in the demo if this was capable of that. Any idea?4) Legal stuff. I am not familiar with the license, but what are the restrictions on it? Reading it, there seems like none, but wanted to check in case I am missing something.Thank you all!Seth
tiktok
I too would be interested in answers to the OP's questions - particularly question 2 regarding resellers.

Yes there is a csm tool in the admin>tools>cms section, you can create your own pages and edit the default ones (about us, T&Cs;etc).2. Not currently in v1.1 but it is in 1.2, which is only in development (you can see it in SVN deleopers section).3. The shipping section in Presta is quite difficult to get your head around when you first look at it, but yes you can define different postage for weight and depending on which destination.4. Prestashop is open source so I dont think there is an license.
zenrider420
To answer your questions....(1.) Yes, in 1.1 CMS functionality was added. Just what you are looking for.(2.) Yeah, i've heard the ability for setting customer pricing is coming in a future version(3.) The shipping module is pretty flexable... attributes you set can influence shipping, weight of items, etc....(4.) As stated on the download page 'The PrestaShop e-Commerce Solution is issued under the Open Software License (OSL) v3.0. Here is the link to the license.Good Luck!
