Example theme page only loads HTML?

Hi everyone,

 

I've installed prestashop on my computer. I think this was working yesterday, but I'm not sure, so I could be missing something on the installation part.

 

I did not change anything yet, and I'm accessing my "prestashop" page through: http://localhost/prestashop (I've installed it with XAMPP, for mac).

 

However, when I try to load the page, only html code comes up, i.e. it is not formatted. Also, product pages are not showing. I've tried cleaning the cache and also "regenerate thumbnails" but it did not work. I've uploaded a picture here in case I'm not expressing myself ok.

[EDIT] Some more info: What is happening is that my server cannot find the css file.. However, it has the right path..

I was able to solve this. I had the wrong permissions set to the themes folder. changed it to 755 and it works now
