can not register new customers

when im creating an order from the back office, i try to add a new customer. i fill in the name, email and password and click save but it is not saving the customer details. it just refreshes the form removing the password but the name and email stay in their boxes. it has only started doing this today, was fine up until this. can someone please help with this as i am unable to take any orders from new customer. thanks.

Set    

 

define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', false);

 

to true in the file config\defines.inc.php so that you can see the error message.

 

You can also have a look in the error log of your server.

 

One possibility is that you may need to repair the tables, but I have never encountered that problem yet so it must be very rare.
