Are vouchers automatically emailed?

If you manually create a voucher through Payment > Vouchers, no email is automatically sent to the customer. However, modules that automatically generate vouchers also automatically send an email to the customer.

No, it's not possible to manually send a voucher email. I suppose you could manually copy the voucher template into your email client and change all the placeholder text, but that is a lot of work.

There are many modules to automatically generate a voucher. The "Birthday Present" module generates a voucher on a customer's birthday. The "Customers follow-up" module can generate a voucher after a customer cancels a cart, completes an order, spends over a certain amount, or doesn't buy anything over a long period of time. The "Customer loyalty and rewards" module generates a voucher based on how much the customer spends. The "Customer referral program" module generates a voucher when a customers refers another customer.

You can work around it as follows:

 

Make a voucher with a specific code and appoint it to a specific customer. Or make one voucher for a group of customers.

Make an order message email with subject: voucher, write the correct content and add the voucher code.

Select a customer order and write the customer an email, in the overview select the email with subject: voucher.

 

You're done.
