Assign specific product attribute to a category

Is there a way to display a product by a specific attribute in a category page? For example, if I have a T-Shirt that is available in multiple colors, and I have the category T-Shirt with Red T-Shirts as a sub category, How can I show just the Red image of the T-shirt in the sub category page after clicking through the navigation?

You can use the layered navigation module for this, it has filters. However, you cannot do it by default. if you want it default, the only way I see this happening is first using the layered navigation in that category, and select red. Copy the url, and use it as hardcoded link to the subcategory, instead of relying on prestashop's automatic links
