Can they do this???

Recommended Posts

Hi,
I have built a site for a customer, its an online version of her store. She wanted an additional domain name used so I said that if she regs this with her hosting company and then ask them to add it on this should be fine, I have done this myself in the past. To cut a long story short she had an altercation with the hosting company, and when she tried to complain they sent her an awful email, and when I said bad I mean bad!
Now it seems they have taken her website off line without any warning what so ever. There is no content that could justify the site being shut down inmedetly, I have spent hundreds with this company but im worried if I name them or contact them to ask them about this they may take the same action against me.
any suggestions and can they do this, should I name them and should I show you guys they email they have sent to my customer???

You need to read the terms and contidions of the host, and search if they do an infraction in their terms.

hi guys just an update on this, I spoke to the hosting company, who despite an awful email to my client, insisted the site was not down due to the dispute, but a mix in communication between my client the hosters. Its all sorted now and the site is back up online.
Lesson learnt, never make assumptions!
