PayPal order status

Hello,

I have prestashop 1.6 and the latest version of PayPal.

When a customer places an order everything works fine, status updates to payment accepted and everything is as it should be.

When I ship the item and try to manually update the status to shipped. It doesn't change. The screen refreshes and it's still on payment accepted.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

what exact version of Prestashop?

I don't imagine that Paypal is causing an issue here, but let's prove that.  install the check or bankwire module, place an order and change the order status to payment accepted, and then shipped.  does the same problem occur?

Hi, no the store is as it was when installed other than products being added.

No third party or custom modules and I haven't installed any overrides.

Logs don't show anything obvious, I'm quite confused by it to be honest.

I develop modules and test almost daily on PS v1.6.1.4 and changing the order status always works for me.  I just tried it again, changing the status from payment accepted to shipped and it worked just fine.

So there is nothing wrong with with PS or v1.6.1.4, so you (or someone) must have made some change (module, override, core code) that is interfering with this.  While I would love to help you solve this issue, there really is not much I can do blindly in a forum post.

Perhaps install a fresh copy of PS v1.6.1.4 in a subfolder and test this to confirm that it works.

If you are not sufficient in troubleshooting php coding, then the next best option is to use an FTP client, and go through each folder, and review the date/time of every file.  Start with the controller and classes folder.

The date/time should reflect the date/time you installed Prestashop, if there are more recent date/times then you know that file has been changed.
