MarMis
I am looking in ways to make my website faster. I have heard about APC or Xcache. Does this really make a big difference? or are there other ways to improve speed thanks
NemoPS
I've worked on sites using thishttps://www.xtendify.com/en/modules/prestashop/front-office-features/111-express-cache-speed-up-your-prestashopIt's not bad, there was a decent performance boost with it https://dh42.com/blog/cut-prestashop-load-time/
tuk66
I have experience with OPCache. I see several times less memory consumption. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PHP_accelerators

Do you have any experience on how Xtendify compares to Page Cache? Kind regards, Daniel
Mister Denial
I have experience with OPCache. I see several times less memory consumption. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PHP_accelerators With APC or Memcache I have had issue of input fields not refreshing correctly, causing problems in both FO and BO (for example, adding new items). Didn't you have any similar issues with OPCache?
Dh42
Unless I am totally wrong, it handles the cart in a different manner. You are having issues with the ajax cart loading the trailing files via JS aren't you? It does not use that method.

Hi Lesley, I was going to PM you to ask about your experience with Xtendify vs Page Cache. It used to shave about 1-1.5 seconds of my page load time, but not anymore with 1.6.14 - it still boosts TTFB, but the gain is somewhat offset by files loading later, like ajax cart, exactly. Running two boost modules at the same time doesn't sound like a good idea to me, so I am currently pondering if I should replace Page Cache by Xtendify.
