<Solved> More Install Issues

Hi everyone,

I'm a student that is very new to Prestashop and the e-Commerce world in general, and I've encountered a problem that I can't figure out. I've downloaded prestashop and uploaded it to a localhost server called MAMP on my Macbook Pro. During the install process, I reached the fourth page of the installation process and filled out all of the information (no funky characters in any of the fields). After hitting the "Next" button it would not go to the "Installation Complete" page. However, MAMP had still shown that prestashop was installed. I when to go sign in as an admin and it would not let me do it.

I've changed the admin folder to a different name and deleted the install folder like it had suggested and it still tells me that my account does not exist. Any help would be most appreciated.

Can you try reinstalling the application? This might be the best option. Also it might be a good idea to trace the server error log so you can see if anything interrupts the installation step. If the installation is not successfully completed there is a good chance more than one thing does not function as expected so successfully finalizing it is what you should go for.

It took me 3 or four tries but for some reason it just decided to click. Thanks

I had the same problem, but when I unchecked the box about getting emails, I was able to continue to finalization.
