miraherba
the error seems to be based on the latest PayPal security updates in regards to SSL and TLS. Please see the PayPal security landingpage for details. https://www.paypal-knowledge.com/infocenter/index?page=content&widgetview=true&id=FAQ1913
bellini13
What module is Paypal PLUS? This module is trying to use SSLv3 which was disabled by Paypal over a year ago. You will need to contact the author of this module and have them address this issue for you
miraherba
Providing some more details: SSL3 was deactivated due to the Poodle attacks 2014. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/POODLE Edited March 15, 2016 by miraherba (see edit history)
r-brown
Are there special requirements to the environment? I'm not sure, which components to be checked aparrt of PHP version.
miraherba
Please forward this issue to your hoster as you're facing a well known and minor security issue. SSLv3 needs to be deactivated on the servers your shop is hosted on. This is not related to the module as it does not force any protocol.
