Add A New "date" Field To Registration

Hi,

 

I would like to add a new "date" field to the one page check out registration, similar to the birthday field (i.e. with a drop down list for days, months and years).

 

In the database I have created a "date1" date column in the ps_customer table

I am not sure how I need to change the order-opc-new-account.tpl and override authcontroller.php and customer.php

so that the day, month and year feed into the "date1" column that I created in the database customer table.

 

Can any one help me with the code ?
