How To Edit The Frontpage In V1.61.4

Hello to all,

I am new with prestashop, I have been using magento and I am looking to switch.

My one problem I am finding is I cannot edit front page. I see where to change the pictures and add as many as I want, but I want to know about adding text, and how I would put code in the front page that google supplies?

 

Is there an easy way to edit front page like magento where you have easy access to code of pages?

I have never used Magento so not sure about how it allows you to edit code.

 

You can not edit code directly from BO you need an FTP program such as FileZilla (FREE) to access the program files, to add text try using the Home Text Editor Module, 

As far as adding Google code a little more info would be helpful.

 

Also when posting a question try to be as precise as possible try to limit one question per post so as to handle one issue at a time.

Thank you for your reply, this is my first post so I was not sure how to start.

So you are saying the only way to edit the front page is accessing the page via ftp and editing the html there?  

I was hoping there was a way in the admin section to edit in the way of wysiwyg kind of program. 

I am not familiar with editing in html so I am not sure what to do.

Well it depends on what it is you want to edit some things can be edited from BO such as CMS pages, Home text editor and others can you give an example of what you want to edit as I do not want to mislead you in what and where you can edit things.
