European Vat Module Not Working Correctly

I'm currently using the 'European VAT number' module to verify VAT numbers.

It seems to work fine most of the time. If a VAT number gets varified, no VAT is charged.

But the problem with this is, that if a customer from my own country (The Netherlands) enters a valid VAT number with their order, also no VAT is charged.
But, according to Dutch tax rules, we ALWAYS have to charge VAT to Dutch customers whether they have a VAT number or not!

 

So how can I configure this not to work for customers from The Netherlands, but at the same continue to make it work for all other EU countries?

 

My prestashop version is: 1.6.0.9
