Removing Categories Pictures Not Subcategories

Hi

My prestashop version is 1.6.1.4 and I am using custom template. on the subcategories I have a slider menu

I want to add subcategories picture, as I understood if you want to add subcategories picture I have to add categories picture first, than subcategories picture create itself, but i don't want to categories picture, I want only subcategories picture, is there any way to create only subcategories picture not categories? or disabling the categories picture but subcategories picture will stay?

I suggest you to make a picture blank (white, using MS "paint" for instance) this way the picture required by the system is present but it does not show anything

When we do that the space for categories picture still will be there but it's gonna show empty, I want to remove completely categories picture row also keep the subcategories pictures.

Any other ideas?
