firescorpz
Hi Rocky,The module cannot get uploaded to my back office.I do not know how to proceed from here ?
rocky
It works fine for me. Did you manually upload the files using FTP or did you try upload it through Prestashop? Since the file is a RAR file, you must manually upload the files. I just extracted the blockfanpage folder into my modules directory and uploaded it. I then had "Block Facebook Fan Page v0.1" appear near the top of my Blocks section on the Modules tab.

rocky
That's because it is a RAR, not a ZIP or GZIP. You can't install that module that way. Do you know how to manually upload the module using FTP?
jozacg
Why not just get the module that allows you to add javascript/html to the website found here http://prestaportal.com/thread-37.html. and then just add the script that facebook provides @ http://www.facebook.com/facebook-widgets/fanbox.php

rocky
What software do you usually use for uploading files to your server? You should use the same software to upload the module's files to your server. Did you upload Prestashop yourself or did someone else do it for you?If you did, you should use software like WinRAR or WinAce to extract the module's RAR file to Prestashop's modules directory, then upload the blockfanpage folder to your server. If someone else did it for you, you'll need to use WinRAR or WinAce to extract the module's file, then recompress the files in GZIP or ZIP format. You should then be able to use your normal method of uploading using the Back Office.
