First, remove adwords (you dnt make much money with this)Second, Put in the editorial module a voucher code to offer a discount to your users.Third, you need to include a live help button, so your customers can contact to you for any questions. Finally, you need to activate friendly url. Google loves it.

chineseboy
Hi. I don't mean to be rude but I don't think your actual site design itself (not functionality, but aesthetics) is very good. It looks too unprofessional. I think that could put off customers. They might feel as though they're not on the website of a proper business. If you're doing the design work yourself, you should take some time to really learn html, css and some graphics programs such as photoshop and illustrator. Maybe look at other sites that do similar things to yours and look at how they have their sites. I didn't mean this to sound rude if it was. I just wanted to give my honest opinion. You have a lot of sites for templates. Free and paid. You can view on prestastore.com or visit our site www.catalogo-onlinersi.com.ar and download a free or paid template. Anyway, we can help you to implement a theme
chineseboy
First, I think you need to come up with a colour scheme that will run consistently throughout your site. You have about a million different colours on your home page. Plus try to avoid having text on an image background. It makes it hard to read and unless done properly, just looks unprofessional. Plus your site looks too vanilla. Its still very obvious that your site is using prestashop. Try and change the way that the boxes in the left and right columns look. There's lots of small things. I'd help you with your site design for little money but I'm very busy at the moment with my site design as I want it to go live by May 1st. Once I've finished it, you can have a look and if you like my work then I can help you with your site for a reasonable price. If not I'm happy to give you a few tips on here, but obviously I'm not on here 24/7!Edit: Actually, it wasn't your homepage I was on before. I just saw your homepage and it doesn't have that many colours to be fair.

pokemon3d
Hi,I don't know whether it is on purpose or not, but with a US-based IP address, I cannot see the cart even if I am not registered on your shop (as visitor only). When I click on cart links, it says :"There is no carrier available that will deliver to this address!"Isn't it a problem for your sales ?Regards

Burhan BVK
I would suggest moving the featured products and the new products to the top of the homepage so that your products are clearly visible on the homepage. You should also remove the description text from the featured products section, and decrease the height. The descriptions don't have anything extra, it just takes space.Next thing is to check where you loose customers. You should have google analytics installed, see which pages are visited the most, where your visitors leave the site etc. How many visitors do you have? If it is not much you should consider ads and writing same articles to get a better rating.

Pinkloveshy
HiThanks for the comments. Not as yet as there is a carrier issue which hopefullly will be sorted today and also an SSL / HTTPS message that comes up once the 10off voucher discount is applied in the checkout.Still a couple or further tweaks and the slides to get going again.Others have commented that the translations are very poor and I don't know how to adjust that yet. I've been told I should also remove the long text from my featured items which I will do so long as there is no SEO impact.I guess it certainly moving in the right direction now with alot of feedback help and great coding help / IT talent of a new friend.Comments on further improvements from all are still very welcome. Examples of good practice through supplied links would be useful. I need to get this shop fully operational within the next week.RegardsGillianPinkloveshy
Kaxis
Hi,Think SEO to drive potential customers to your websiteContent, meta tags, links, metadata, relevancy, and page title all affect page ranking. The HTML title tag, an element that tells searchers what your page is about, is often overlooked. And there is good (marketing) points mentioned in earlier postGood luck

(I have 1 page)???????? RegardsGillianPinkloveshy Are you getting visitors but no sales? Or no visitors either? If you're not getting visitors, you need to market your site to attract visitors. There are a lot of good articles on how to do this. If you're getting visitors but no sales, then the website design might be the problem. Your design does not reflect the product. Your wave graphic is nice but does not show the product! Also your customer base is trendy and image-conscious, very "cool," while your site is very plain. Go to the website of your manufacturers to get ideas on design. Just a few impressions for you. Good luck.
Pinkloveshy
Thanks Really appreciate the last few posts. As soon as the carrier issue is sorted will look to add some cool images to jazz it up a bit. Star
May I give my 2 cents? Your themes doesn't look fashionable. Change to 2 columns, eliminate some blocks. and change to more fashionable color.

outlet.ee
I once had the very same problem and started looking, then found some forum post like '100 thing to avoid in e-commerce' and one of the thing I remember from there is 'do not put mission statements on your front page. They just don't give a ****'. Ok, I understand there are some SEO keywords but I suggest to keep it shorter, also cut the height of the slideshow half so the featured products would be visible immediately w/o scrolling down. Also, I never understand the need for the add to cart button on category or home page when there are product attributes involved. This should be used if there is just plain product with no sizes which you sure do have there. Now the most important issue I can see is that you don't have particularly wide range of products, (I counted 33 different products), and while attempting to find out about the number of products it appeared there is no search form. While we are on a subject, I warmly welcome you all to review my site as well (not in English but have look anyway!). Pinkloveshy
Dear Outlet.eeYour site is brilliant. I see what you mean about the mission statement. How did you get such a fantastic background and I also like the lack of frames on the new products.Your site has given me much to think about and if you have any code help for background that would be greatly appreciated.I imagine you are selling lots of products. The site does look very professionalThanks for taking the time and trouble to respond to me. Its greatly appreciated.I've just spent two hours improving my onepage checkout to make it more user friendly as I think this is an area where customers were being put off.Any feedback from others and views of your site would be helpful.Regards a Prestashop newbiePinkloveshy
outlet.ee
Thank you for the positive feedback. For the background I suggest to use the stripe generator which could be found at http://www.stripegenerator.com/. Create the image, save it as 'bg.gif' and drop it to /img folder. Then go to themes/prestashop/css/global.css and edit the 'body' tag by inserting a line there: background-image:url(/img/bg.gif); .Another great tool is at http://www.colorblender.com/, you can find a perfect color palette for your site in there. Or http://webcolor.webmaster-kit.com/For the new products frames you could open up the css again and find the div.block .block_content and delete the background line, this gives you white bg on new products. Also, consider removing the white bg from home featured products, in .css there is a line #center_column .products_block .block_content, delete #D0D3D8, and at #center_column .products_block ul li:hover delete the #BDC2C9.And put the mission statement which you have moved to the bottom, in h1 tags. This is for SEO purposes. What module you are using for the one page checkout, I think I should use it as well.
Pinkloveshy
Thanks for the information. My checkout is a paid module. jdmorrisn
I presume you are happy with your site and sales are rolling? I have only just found your comment- I haven't made any test purchase obviously - but your site looks good. Well done.Only advice I would give is that the top of your page (search/favourites/ languages and currency etc) is really messy. This is one hell of a problem with prestashop that you cannot easily rearrange or get rid of these without messying up the rest of your page, especially if you do your own header. I was stuck on this for weeks moving these things around before I decided less is best. It's better to get rid of the bookmark, sitemap and favourites icons. At best they are poor icons (not your problem this is standard web design) at worst, no one really uses them. (Sitemap - you have few pages, not necessary. Favourites/ bookmark - this is easier via IE and most people prefer this. It's better to add the facebook like icon/ module. Position the search bar to your left or right column perhaps lower down. You will see a much more tidy appearance and website design will start to fall into place at the top. Do this, and then post back and I will take another look and see how you can better rearrange your currency and language icons. All sites are different so once you have done this then the other things can be changed. This is my opinion though, if you like it as it is then don't worry.
