Module Dev. | Roadmap Guidance Required

Hi, I've just started digging into Prestashop module development. I've decided to start with a module that will only be mostly handle back office functionality. For now it should only list the all the products added some days ago in its content area. I am basically from Java background, had worked on PHP (CodeIgniter) in couple of projects.

 

What I've currently done is to list my module in backoffice (followed official prestashop tutorial) . I feel information is much scattered about prestashop development. I'd love If someone can guide me to roadmap to presta dev.
