Product Groups not adding correctly.

Please see attached images for a better description.

In image one you can see a product selected and a drop down menu for the TYPE of product, this is correct and how it should be.

However if you just press the "Add to cart" button when all the products are listed it adds all the different product combinations as seen in image two.

How can i stop this from happening so that they have to choose from one combination instead of it adding all of them.
