What options do I have if I want to implement a crowdfunding feature in my Prestashop?

 

I am not after turning the entire page into a crowdfunding site, only selected item(s)

 

Let's say I have a line of T-shirts which are sold as one normally would do.

I then decide to offer one new T-shirt but I want to manage that through crowdfunding. If a certain target is pre-ordered, I start to ship.

 

Any free modules available out there?

Any other solutions?

There are three paid modules in addons shop.

To make module that deals with the products takes a lot of time, why would you hope to get it for free?

I wasn't hoping, simply asking.

Prestashop is open source, after all. The entire point with open source is that other people contribute with more features.

I appreciate that these things take time but it's kind of a given that one would ask whether there is someone out there who have knocked out a feature and done so for the sake of adding to the core package and nothing more.

I guess I disagree on your point of view to open source.

Open source means that you get the source to make changes whatever you want, but if other people add value to the software it is fair for them to expect money in return equal to they contributed value.

 

But if you will find something good for free or make it yourself, please share.
