Contact Email On Site Gives Error Message And Doesnt Forward Email

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I use the contact form on the prestashop site as the form for customers to email me with queries.

Since yesterday, when someone uses the contact page to send me an email they get the following error message

There is 1 error

  1. An error occurred while sending the message.

The email appears in the prestashop back office when i log in, even though it tells the customer there was an error.

However, the email does not get forwarded to my email address even though it is set up to do that.

You can go to http://kokodesigns.ie/shop2/index.php?controller=contact to see the problem.

I am running 1.6.1.0 and was working fine until earlier this week.

I am intending upgrading but unsure about backups etc and trying to figure that out first.

Is there any easy fix or is there an issue with my server possibly?

Thanks,

Cormac

Hi Cormac,

Welcome to the forum.

You can test interaction of PrestaShop and your email system.

back office-->advanced Parms-->emails

from there you can work on what the issue might be.

note: it may prove useful to enable PrestaShop debug mode when testing email

Thank you very much El Patron,

I found out the mails folder had disappeared from the server once i turned debugging on.

That has been replaced and everything appear to be working fine.

Cheers,

Cormac

That's great news!  Make sure to have non-module (hosting) back up run everyday.  Priceless. :)
