Web Service Access Using Coldfusion

Hello -

 

I am trying to write a procedure to update products in my prestashop instance every 4 hours. I have been unsuccessful accessing the web service, and would appreciate some guidance (aside from the Prestashop Tutorial) with the necessary steps to create and update products using the web service.

 

The main area where I am confused is whether or not I should access the database directly, in which case I am not sure exactly what code I should use (the documentation seems very vague in this area). If I am not to access the database directly, then the syntax for the webservice is also quite vague and I cannot get a good handle on precisely what steps are necessary.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
