Vosteen
Hello, to me it feels like my csv import for products is quite slow. I'd say for ~5500 products it takes about 5 hours. Is there any way to improve this? I'm also using the "no more 500 error" module. So perhaps that's something to fix?
Guest
I stopped using CSV import. We use storemanager instead. Much quicker http://addons.prestashop.com/en/administration-tools-prestashop-modules/2937-store-manager-for-prestashop.html
TribalDexterD
Hi, What kind of hosting do you use? (shared hosting, VPS, dedicated, cloud?) Because the import time depends also from the PC that run the import.
Vosteen
Uhm, I'm not sure about the differences. It's not the cloud-version and it's not running on my computer. So it's a rented server...? We also bought storecommander (not storemanager). But I wasn't that satisfied with it's CSV import option...
TribalDexterD
My english is very bad, so to understand the differences between shared, VPS, dedicate, etc I suggest you to search it on google, sorry Anyway, the only way to increase the performance is change your hosting subscription, otherwise you can import a little bit at time. Another option, but is "complex" if you don't know how do it, is create (also with xampp) a LAMP Environment on a performance PC, download the entire shop and db, and do the import. At last, import the new db and images (if you also import it). Sorry for my bad english!
Vosteen
Soooo, we moved from a shared server to a managed server. Now I can set a proper timeout-limit. I'm able to import ~1 article per second. is that good or bad?
