Folder Rights

Hi All,

 

I have some questions about folder rights of the ps install:

 

When i set everything under ftpuser:psacln i get some errors like uploading a image in the prestashop : ] PHP Warning:  imagejpeg  PHP Warning:  file_put_content

 

And putting things on the frontend in the shopping back..

 

 PHP Fatal error:  Uncaught  --> Smarty: unable to write in cache/smarty/cache

 

I solved both error by changing the cache and img directory (recursive) to user apache.apache.

 

Is there a better way to deal with this ? or are these the correct settings?

There are two ways to do this.

1) The one you did: to make PrestaShop the same user or user group that has right to write to server

2) Second option is to set all folders rights to 777 and all files to 666
