Hi there,

 

Just tell that there is a practice unethically by prestashop developers.

 

They tell you by email in big and bold:

 

Rating your purchases rewards you! Rate your purchases and enjoy 5% discount * on your next purchase in the next 15 days!

 

But then you find yourself following this asterisk at the end of the email, in tiny, "valid only for products developed by ps"

 

* Voucher valid for 15 days on products developed by PrestaShop only.

 

I think this is the correct way:

 

Rating your purchases rewards you! Rate your purchases and enjoy 5% discount * on your next purchase in the next 15 days on products developed by PrestaShop only

 

No big deal, but I had to say.

You have to consider this use case

 

Module A sold by Developer A

Module B sold by Developer B

 

If the customer purchases module A, and then rates that module and receives a 5% voucher. 

The customer then uses that voucher to purchase Module B developed by some other user, the sales/commission for Developer B is reduced by 5%

 

I'm not sure Developer B would be all that happy to be forced to accept that sale at a 5% discount.

 

Prestashop should either only allow 5% discount to be used towards the purchase of Developer A modules, or what they have done, which is to lose 5% on the sale in order to get Developer A a module rating.

There is no problem with make a discount for an specific developer.

 

The cuestion is trying to hide it whit asteriscs and small letters.
