Problems with instalation

Hi
I have the folowing server.

Apache ver. 2.2.8 (Unix)
PHP version 5.2.*
MySQL ver. 5.0.45-community
Activated On 2008-08-10 14:57
Status Active

I have uploaded the files to my server and done all the relevent permissions. I goto web address and it takes me to the start of the install process, but when I get to screen 2, i get the following error:

There are no errors that I can see and I cant press the next button.

Any Ideas ????

Hi,

You may have a PHP error, could you install Firebug plugin for Firefox?

Then activate this plugin (bottom-right corner of Firefox) and you'll be able to detect this error.

To top things off, my laptop needed reformatting, so havent had chance to do anything. My webmaster will be here on Thurs from New Zealand, so will get him on the case. If we dont have any luck, we will be back

I found the solution.
I am using wsftp program to upload my files. i did all the chmod 777 settings but i could not pass the 2nd step when i decided to give up i tried to make permission settings from my hosting panel.
and everything is working now i installed prestashop.
