Paypal Usa, Canada Not Accepting Sandbox Credentials In The Configuration

I'm at witt's end here.  API credentials are accepted for Live, but my generated Sandbox API credentials are rejected.  What the...?

 

PrestaShop 1.6.1.4

PayPal USA, Canada 1.3.9

 

For sandbox I created a "facilitator" business account on developer.paypal.com...  It comes with a sandbox email address, an API username, API password and API signature.  Clearly I'm not missing any info here.

 

Here's the error message (spelling mistake and all):

 

 

Your Paypal API crendentials are not valid, please double-check their values or contact PayPal.

Contacting PayPal is a rather poor advice

 

Is sandbox working for anyone else?

Yes I use it all the time chances are there is something wrong with your input.

Are you copy and pasting if So make sure there are no spaces before or after your entries if all else fails try to type them in.

 

To ask a stupid question did you check sandbox above where the credentials are input

 

 

 

I have a test store that I am building a theme on I installed PayPal added my sandbox and placed and order no issues getting to PayPal.

 

However as I always get with this module when it returns to the shop after payment I get the order history instead of Order confirmation and all products are still in the cart.

My sandbox shows the Order but it is not recorded in the BO of Prestashop.

This is a fresh install nothing changes still hac demo products and I have reported this several times.

 

Once you have this module working Please place a test order and see if it works for you and report the findings here.

I have verified.  The input is correct.  No spaces or other stray characters.

Yes, I did click the radio button "Test (Sandbox)".

 

My normal credentials are working for "Live", but the sandbox business facilitator account created on developer.paypal.com (sandbox email address, API username, API password, signature) are not accepted.

 

I did not make a mistake.  There is something wrong with the module.

 

I really need the sandbox working now, I need to test the tax rate table before I launch the shop.

I have now confirmed that there is a defect in the PayPal USA, Canada module.  Sandbox is working with my sandbox credentials in the PayPal Europe module.  There was no problem with my credentials like PayPal USA, Canada module says.
