zollgut
Hi All,I've looked through the forum but could not find any answer to my question so hope someone can offer some assistance..I would like to add a custom field to the product page in the backend (similar to the EAN13 or the Reference fields, just to be able to add more information). I would then use this field to display the additional information on the frontend product page. I'm aware this will need to be called in from the product.tpl to be displayed, but can someone help explain which files I need to alter to get this field added/working in the backend? Thanks in advance
zollgut
Anyone? The field does not have to be tied in with anything, it will just be used to display a sentence on the product page. (But needs to vary depending on product so I can't add it directly to product.tpl).I've saw the question asked quite a few times but never answered. Is it that difficut to add? mark2
Hi zoligut,I agree with you that this information is not easy to find. You can probably use Features for achieving what you want and this does not require touching the php code. The Features tab is visible when you view the Catalog tab in the backend.Regards, Mark
