If I Clear The Cache On The Backend Of The Website Will I Lose Everything?

Hi,

 

Been trying to install the module 'Smartblog' and have had some trouble. I've been told to clear the cache on the back end but i am worried it will delete everything on my site. Will this happen or will it be perfectly fine?

Clearing the smarty cache won't delete any sensitive data on your store.

Cache is like a copy of your website that people could access pages faster.

And if you change something in the website you need to delete old copy to see the changes.

No you won't lose.

 

But if you are worried you should do a backup.

a.ka. Login to your FTP and copy all files.
