gennybeans
Hi! I've looked through search results, and it seems strange to me that there is still no solution to exclude specific items from a Cart Rule. Up until a couple months ago, I was still running v. 1.4 and it allowed you to exclude certain products from vouchers. For example, I will be running a 10% off promo online. I do not want the 10% to be applied to any Gift Card purchases. Is there an easy way to go about this? The Product Selection option does not help, since as long as an item that falls under one of the product selection categories, the 10% off will be applied to the whole cart. Hope someone has a working solution for this or any insight on the issue! Thank you!
fixgear
I also want to do this since I have some products that I offer to a certain team that I make no money on since we do their clothing at cost and if I give out a voucher they will not read my warning (people NEVER READ) and they will try to apply the voucher to those products as well and I would lose money. SOLUTION?Thanks, jer...
tdr170
While there is no exclusion you can certainly not include products to a voucher, you have to add all products except those you do not want the voucher to apply to. When creating the voucher on the conditions tab select Product selection, then click on Product selection button, now from the drop down select Products and click add. Now you will have another box open up here click on choose in the box that opens up you will have unselected and selected windows in the unselected window choose all products you want the voucher to apply to, easy way select first item scroll to bottom press shift and click the last item this will highlight all products, now scroll back up to Gift Cards press CTRL and click on each one you do not want to include after unselecting the cards click add and all products except those you unselected will be added. Now on the actions tab select your discount type and check selected products, now this voucher will apply only to the selected products. I know this is not the best way but is the only way currently allowed by Prestashop, hopefully future version will have a simpler way. Nokieras
Hi, I am using PS 1.6.1.6 (Stable). I´m trying to create a cart rule pursuing: 1. To create a voucher (%) for orders of all products belonging to category A, this seems to be easy at the condition tab, adding a group rule, selecting products/ category. 2. To apply such a gained vouchers to orders of products belonging to categories, e.g., B, C (excluding those from category A, D, F...). I see no way of implementing this step, except by creating as many rules as products, selecting one product each, because the action tab allows to select one product only. However above you seem to refer to this issue. In short: How can I select a few categories to apply gained vouchers? I am affraid I not really understand what you mean. Thanks and regards, Manuel
tdr170
To create a voucher for a category simply select Product selection from the Conditions tab them choose Categories then in the menu that appears click on choose. You can select multiple Categories by using the CTRL key then click add to add to right side of box. Click the X in the upper right corner, If you selected 3 Cateories you should see a 3 in the category box. Note that all products in the Category will get this discount.the original post was how to exclude certain products from within the Category from the voucher. Understand??? dformica2
I'm in v1.6.1.4 There's a bug in the Cart rules: I have a cart rule % discount for only Category A items. When checking out with 2 items belonging to Cat A & Cat X, the discount applies to the whole cart instead of only CatA item. Was this fixed in newer versions? tdr170
You may have missed a step on the last tab Actions you must select Selected products, you probably still have this set to Order (without shipping).
dformica2
Duh. Yes, that's what it was, on the last "Actions" tab, I just set the "Apply a discount to : Selected product(s)". Problem solved. Thank you @tdr170
