pskigen
As I understand it, the USPS Carrier Module is supposed to be included in the initial installation of Prestashop (I installed version 1.6.1.4). I have read various forms, searched all throughout my Prestashop Back Office, especially thoroughly searching through my Modules. How can I find this module? Am I mistaken in thinking it should be included with Prestashop? Does Prestashop 1.6 > require a paid version of the USPS module? Note: I have also searched through all of my Prestashop files and folders and I have nothing resembling a USPS Module.
tdr170
It was included just a short while ago and now as you say it is missing so is FedEX, not sure what Prestashop is up to. I emailed them last night and asked to have some light shed on this but as of now I have not herd back from them. In the mean time you can download the zip file from Github https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop-modules when there scroll to bottom and locate uspscarrier. Click on it to open, on this page in the upper right corner click download zip, unzip the file to your computer. Now you will see a folder named uspscarrier-master, rename to just uspscarrier and upload the folder to your modules folder. Now the USPS Carrier should appear in the modules list. pskigen
Thank you! I have not had a chance to test the module yet, but I was able to get it installed and everything looks right so far. Just one note for anyone else who might need this solution: the backward_compatability folder is not included in the initial download. It must be downloaded as a separate zip file, unzipped and then the contents should be placed in the backwards_compatibility folder inside of the uspscarrier folder before rezipping and uploading to Prestashop. Also, I'm glad you have contacted Prestashop, as I would guess we are not the only people who have been effected by this issue. Thank you again for your assistance, much appreciated! tdr170
Hey nice catch I did not notice this. One note or the backward compatibility the folder is included in the download its just empty. The backwards compatibility you see in the main directory is a module not the files you need. When you open the uspscarrier folder on Github and download the zip you then need to click on the Backwards compatibility inside this folder and download that zip. Place the files inside this zip inside the backward folder of the USPS module, just wanted to be clear. You do not really have to re-zip the folders just upload the uspscarrier folder to your modules folder.

It worked fine for me on 1.6.1.6 Edited August 15, 2016 by mpouliot34 (see edit history)
ssfoster95
I obtained the file from GitHub and used the add module button but the module doesn't show up in the module list. What do I need to do to get this module configured and working:? Shannon
