Problems with CSV import

I had formatted my csv file with this way after an earlier post that helped me be able to control how categories showed up under parent categories. Now after upgrading from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 (with some image link breaks) we tried to reimport or csv files and are unable. I have read the posts for hours and I am quite unclear. I don't know if this is hanging up my imports or not. My categories start at 1500 so I know they should not be conflicting with the Home ID (1) Any suggestions?

I have seached and tried many of the suggestions for import of csv. I had it working in 1.2.4, however since we upgraded to 1.2.5 i cannot reimport my products. The categories imported no problem. I have regroomed my product list, downloaded notepad++ (to avoid using excel/notepad/save as UTF-*) and I still get hung up with 224 errors on a product list of 112 items. Any suggestions?

Would andone be willing to look at my list or a sample of it?

Thanks for the advice. Here is a sample of my product csv file. This is typical of the complete file. There are several fields that we are not using and the last two fields always automatically say do not import

Also:

As far as importing, we always use the comma for the field separator, and the semi-colon for the multiple value separator

I can't see anything wrong with your CSV. Exactly what error messages are you getting?

I also tried my sample file (of 3 items). The result is similar to the error I get when I try to import the complete file:

Pink banner: (yellow warning) 6 errors
ASPEN 33 Hinge Front (ID 2270) cannot be saved
ASPEN 37 Hinge Front (ID 2271) cannot be saved
Bahama Pintle Hinge Set (ID 2318) cannot be saved

Green banner: The .CSV file has been imported into your shop.

Sorry, I have no idea how to fix it. I do know that many bugs in the CSV import have been fixed since v1.2.5 was released. I suggest downloading the latest AdminImport.php. I don't think it depends on other files. If it turns out that it does, try installing Prestashop v1.3 beta 1 in a test environment and see whether the same errors occur.

I am running PHP 5.1.6.
We did the file replacement update from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 (that we read in the forums)

With the updated adminimport.php and trying to upload the sample file, I get the same errors, and I also get a cautionary orange banner that says:

Rewrited link for Array (ID ID) was re-written as name

ID ID: that happened because I forgot to skip 1 line (the description line)

I had a closer look at your CSV and I noticed that all the descriptions have a " in them. That could cause a problem, since " is used to determine the start and end of the description. Try changing "" in your file to "

One thing I did not think to try is entering one of the items manually. When I do, it does not like the ; between tag list words. The error it gives is Tags list (English (English)) is invalid. If i change the ; to a , it works fine. Then when I add a picture, it seems to hang up when you press save. I come back to the product, and there is one of the question mark blank image. I tried 5 different images which are small and will upload. Looking at it from the web, there are 5 ? pictures. From the back office i get the following: Image 1 is img/p/1-3.jpg (pink ipod), image 2 is img/p/1-4.jpg (blue ipod), image 3,4 and 5 are img/404.gif.
Could my image php be corrupted? Is there a way to flush it out?
Do I need to use something other than a ; for my multiple value separator?

I don't have enough experience with CSV to help. I suggest you ask someone who has successfully got CSV to work. I found a topic here that might help.
