Favicon

I need a little help for someone I have tried everything to change the favicon but it simply will not change at all.. I have changes all other images but this one will not change, anyone knows why this is?

Is the favicon showing on BO browser and Theme page, have you turned cache off force compile on and cleared the cache.

 

If all of this is true look in the database ps_configuration table you may find 2 entries, favicon.ico and favicon.jpg, if you find one that calls for favicon.jpg delete that entry and see if the icon will now appear this has worked for others in the past.

Thanks tdr170 but i tried everything, the cache, delete the file i found refresh load a new icon but the one that is there will not change, one guy who does a lot of Presta stuff said the upload cannot be in JPG or any of the norm but .ico never seen this before and its not on the computer so not sure where to go next.. any other help? Don't even mind if you want to log in and help

If you have an image to use for icon size should be 32x32, 48x48, if you do not have an icon creater you can save the file in bmp format then change the extention to .ico

 

 

This is the icon extention as is needed for favicon.
