Can PayPal automatically convert USD balance to HKD when the consumer makes an order?

 

1. Suppose the default currency of my online store is HKD.

 

2. There is no HKD balance (HK$0) in the consumer's PayPal account and only have enough USD balance.

Do you mean Paypal or Paypal module in PrestaShop?

As far as I understand, Paypal does not convert. It depends on the currency set in the order on your site.

Sorry, I mean automatically convert on the PayPal website (not my online shop website) when the consumer make a payment.

Your site's currency is HKD, therefore, all transactions are done in HKD.

 

As far as I understand, ff your customer does not have enough HKD balance, Paypal will charge from his / her credit card. Paypal can convert to HKD before making the transaction.

And of course, you will receive amount in HKD in your Paypal account.
