Can't install, index.php just comes up blank

I have installed prestashop on many domains and servers with no problems. I have 2 prestashops running on dreamhost servers. This is the 3rd one im opening on a dreamhost server and it just wont work. I type in the url to get started and install it and it comes up blank. any ideas?

Did you read specific instructions regarding Dreamhost & PrestaShop?

There's nothign on there concerning dreamhost.
It's a linux server, so I dont know what the problem is.

Most problems are due to allow_url_fopen function, you should try to disable this test in checkConfig.php or to enable this function on DreamHost (I'm not sure this is possible).
