what's the point of entering wholesale prices?

I want to enter the price I paid for the item in the wholesale price field and use that to calculate my profit margins.

Profit = Retail Price (Price I sold the item for) - Wholesale Price (Price I bought the item for)

Is there no module at all for this? I can't be the only one that uses PrestaShop that needs something like this. I am tired of entering everything twice, once in PrestaShop and once in MYOB to calculate my profits, there must be a more efficient way of doing this.
