Jorge Aramuni
I want to make a CLEAN INSTALL of prestashop 1.6.1.4, WITHOUT THE DEMO STUFF. But in the installation process, there is not an option to NOT installing the demo sample. Also I could not find a CLEAN file to download in prestashop site. If I install the demo stuff, it is necessary to clean the database. The DATABASE CLEANER (pscleaner) module, suggested in the Help file, does not work well in version 1.6.1.4. Some data are not deleted, like the manufacturers. For sure, the better solution is not installing the demo stuff. How can I make a CLEAN INSTALL of Prestashop?! Jorge Aramuni
I already have the solution: the PSCLEANER module works! BUT it is necessary to optimize the PHP.INI file of the SERVER before trying cleaning the database. Open the PHP.INI file (in the server) and edit the following lines (un-comment them first): max_input_time: -1 max_execution_time: 300 Save the file and RESTART the server. THEN you can execute the commands in the PSCLEANER module page (in the prestashop administration - install the module first, of course). Now the time for executing the scripts is HIGHER, and the module can do his job...
techkoop
Wich values would you recommend for max_input_time: ? max_execution_time: ?
Jorge Aramuni
It's never a good idea to set max_execution time or max_input_time to unlimited. It can be easily abused to (D)DOS your website. You'd better just go for a high value. Thanks Ambassador! I'm using max_input_time: -1 max_execution_time: 300 What do you think about these settings?
