Cyburg
Hi all, I would like to remove the red coloured "Install demo store" link in the admin menu, I am concerned that one of our staff may accidentally create havoc with it. Does anyone know how I can achieve that please? Cheers, Paul
tdr170
Look to Administration menu and see if they can be removed here.
Cyburg
Hi tdr170, You would have thought it would be in that interface wouldn't you? But it isn't (please see attached screenshot). Any other suggestions from anyone as to how I remove these potentially dangerous links? Cheers, Paul
tdr170
What version of Prestashop are you using and is it a Cloud version as those menu items are not normal for a standard install.
Cyburg
You assertion that those menu items are not standard Prestashop fare prompted me to do some digging....I believe these were put in place when I installed the free CSS editor module available here: https://dh42.com/free-prestashop-modules/ Cheers, Paul
Cyburg
To hide the menu objects added by the CSS Editor module simply add the following to the end of your "admin/themes/default/css/admin-theme.css" file. Now I can be happy that none of our users can mess the store up by clicking things they shouldn't. I can understand the developer wants to make use of their free moduels to promote their other services, but putting links to these potentially disastrous features in such an easy to click place is a bit dumb. tdr170
LOL, pretty good when the best answer is your own. Glad you have it solved none the less.
