Set Shipping Tracking Number Automatically

Hi, 

 

Im new to prestashop and this is the first prestashop i did from very beginning. 

We are setting up a website to take orders for photo prints and send the information to the printer, when the printer finishes printing it will post back an xml to a php file with the shipping tracking number in it. 

 

My problem here is this is all happening without a browser, so i dont have a prestashop context, how do i trigger $order->update(); and send out the in_transit email without prestashop context? My prestashop version is 1.6.1.1.
